Company history
The
company history dates back from November 1952, when the first machines
manufacturing flax fibre and flax hards were to put into operation.
The year 1984 was a landmark in the development of the firm, as
a line with the capacity of 350 tons was put into operation to process
textile secondary materials. Also, the production of bonded textiles
was initiated.
In 1990 the processing capacity was extended up to 1,400 tons while
the processing of linen stems was gradually terminated in successive
steps.
Nowadays LYKOTEX Slovakia, Ltd. manufactures primary and secondary
textile materials and produces bonded textiles made by the mechanical
formation of fibrous web stiffened by needle punching. Manufacturing
facilities enable production of materials with the basis weight
of 150 - 3,000 g/m2, at product width reaching up to 4,000 mm which
can possibily be cut in smaller widths. According to a given drawing
documentation it is possible to carry out water-jet cutting in various
two-dimensional shapes with maximum dimensions of 2,000 x 3,000
mm.
